Unlocking the Potential of AI: Tools and Resources for Businesses in Switzerland

Technological developments in recent decades have demonstrated that when we talk about digital it is better to jump on the right bandwagon, otherwise you will quickly be left behind. With the ChatGPT “wave,” AI has become a trend that businesses can no longer ignore. But how can we get hold of this protean tool, sometimes obscure and whose usefulness is not always obvious at first glance? It’s difficult to see the benefit of an AI capable of generating images in a bar turning company.

In 2020, an interdepartmental working group under the direction of Sefri (State Secretariat for Training, Research and Innovation) estimated in a report that “Switzerland was overall well positioned to respond to the challenges of AI”. Despite goodwill, getting to grips with tools linked to artificial intelligence is not easy for all companies, particularly SMEs. To provide concrete help to businesses, five HES-SO engineering schools created a Swiss Artificial Intelligence Center at the start of the year.
