Unstable Weather Forecast: Stormy Passage, Clearings, and Thunderstorms

2023-06-18 16:25:00

Hi Philippe, it looks indeed quite unstable with a stormy passage in the night and perhaps the return of calmer weather in the morning and some clearings. We will really have to take advantage of this at the start of the day since the cumulus clouds will quickly bud and the first showers will arrive at the end of the morning from France. I fear a fairly rough, heavy and stormy afternoon with sometimes heavy showers accompanied by hail. It is difficult to define exactly the localities affected but there will be a good chance of experiencing a good flush or even a storm. It is doable but until noon max to avoid risks. Maximums of 24-25°C and heavy atmosphere.

And this Monday?

This Monday, we will experience an anticyclonic thrust which will stabilize a fairly warm atmosphere. On the menu for this day, a few low clouds over the southeast or even temporarily in the center which will give way to large clearings. A few veils of cirrus but a bright atmosphere over Flanders, Hainaut, Brabants, Namur and a few more clouds over the Ardennes.

Afternoon, same type of weather with weather still warm and quite sunny through some cirrus which will again tend to thicken by the French border. It will be hot with 20-22°C on the coast and 24 to 28°C elsewhere… In the evening, beware of new storms coming from Paris all over the country, perhaps sparing the far south-east further back. . Beware of this very dynamic system with a well-constituted surface depression accentuating the updrafts (pivotal moment between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m.). Moderate southwesterly wind and watch out for strong gusts in the evening.
