Unsubsidized chronic disease drugs are now available in the market by 100%, and subsidized drugs by 50%.

The head of the Pharmacists Syndicate, Joe Salloum, affirmed that “medicines for chronic diseases for which subsidies have been lifted are 100 percent available in the market, but they have become very expensive. As for fully subsidized drugs, such as those related to cancer, they are available at 50 percent.”

In an interview with “Voice of Lebanon”, he indicated that “the health system is primarily responsible for the chaos in the markets, as well as the support system from 3 years ago, which is considered random and lacks a clear pharmacological vision.”
