Al-Marsad Newspaper: A number of deputies in the Israeli Knesset clashed in a quarrel in which hands were used, shouting and protesting by singing, over the project to reform the judiciary.

The quarrel occurred during a meeting of the Knesset Constitution Committee; To discuss the draft law of the judicial reform plan.

It is noteworthy that yesterday, Monday, Israel witnessed demonstrations and strikes against the judicial reform plan. Where thousands gathered in front of the Knesset, the Supreme Court and the Council of Ministers, coinciding with the first round of voting on the project.

The bill’s proposals include severely limiting the Supreme Court’s ability to overturn laws and government decisions, and passing a “override clause” to allow the Knesset to re-legislate laws that have been overturned.
