Research communities can breathe. The people have largely refused the text of a committee of St. Gallen citizens aimed at prohibiting the use of all forms of animal and human experimentation. A few months following a resounding failure in the Chambers, by not collecting the slightest vote in its favour, the initiative is in the process of being rejected by 79% of the votes. Only the canton of Ticino is more measured, voting no at 68.5%.
