Thrills guaranteed for this postal bus trip
In the Bernese Oberland, coach driver Andres Schütz tackles the steepest bus route in Europe, where every centimeter counts.

“Watch out, it’s going to be tight.” Andres Schütz squints and turns his Postbus around a terribly tight bend. He is driving a jam-packed postal bus to the Gries (or Griesalp) alpine pasture in the Bernese Oberland. Some passengers even have to stand for the forty-five minutes of the journey. Shortly before the arrival, the most demanding maneuvers of the whole journey await the bus driver. The passengers then follow the spectacle with excitement, looking in turn out of the window and towards the driver.
