The Public Relations Division of the Internal Security Forces announced, in a statement, that “a picture of four underage girls is circulating on social media, and it was circulated regarding their missing, which led to a state of panic among citizens regarding the presence of organized gangs in Lebanon working to kidnap girls.”
The security forces confirmed that “there is no security or criminal reason behind these cases, but it was found that they are the result of personal, family or health reasons. Therefore, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces calls on everyone not to raise concerns among citizens, and to obtain the correct information from the Public Relations Division.” .
