Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded is getting closer and closer and will offer players a new batch of new features. From the arrival of Ranked mode to a new set of maps, modes, weapons and more, here’s what’s in store.
With the annual cycle starting again, Modern Warfare 3 is now in the thick of its first full season. Marking the launch of Warzone’s Urzikstan map as well as numerous new content for multiplayer mode, Season 1 has been able to build player loyalty day after day.

However, the community is still eager to find out what’s next. And naturally, all eyes are now on the mid-season update.

Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded Start Date
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded is scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, 2024. We know this thanks to the Season 1 Battle Pass which presents a “Classified” sector whose content will be revealed on this specific date.

This is roughly the halfway point of the full season, giving players a few weeks to see and do everything the Reloaded update has to offer before Season 2 takes over.
What’s new in Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded
At least two new weapons will arrive during Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded
Although not explicitly confirmed for Season 1 Reloaded, two new weapons have been listed as “In-Season” additions on the Season 1 roadmap. As such, we can expect to see the HRM-9 submachine gun and the submachine gun TAQ Evolvere in the game around this time period.

Rio map to debut in Season 1 Reloaded
We know for sure that the Season 1 Reloaded update will include a brand new multiplayer map designed for traditional 6v6 modes. While MW3 was built around maps from 2009’s MW2, this addition will be the first map original added to the game.

Activision’s Rio map is coming to MW3 soon.
Ranked Play mode finally arrives in Season 1 Reloaded
After weeks of waiting, Ranked mode is officially scheduled to launch with the Season 1 Reloaded update. As usual, this is where the most dedicated players will put their skills to the test in increasingly difficult matches as they climb through the different Divisions.
Five other game modes are also planned for this update. Vortex, Santa’s Slayground, Infected, Headquarters, and Team Skirmish are all listed for mid-season, making the Reloaded update their most likely target.
