Updated 2023 NFL Draft order after Panthers traded to Bears for first place

The Chicago Bears traded their first overall pick to the Carolina Panthers in a mammoth trade. Here is the order of the NFL Draft 2023.

Since the end of the regular season, the NFL world has had its eyes on the Chicago Bears, holders of the first pick. Looking at their roster, they seem to have their quarterback for the foreseeable future in Justin Fields. Additionally, a handful of teams selected in the 2023 NFL Draft Top 10 needed a quarterback. The Bears could get a lot for this selection, and it looks like they’re ready for business.

The Bears have found a buyer in the Carolina Panthers.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport announced that the Panthers had acquired the Bears’ first pick. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that in exchange for the No. 1 pick, the Panthers sent No. 9 and No. 61 picks from the 2023 draft, a 2024 first-round pick, a 2025 second-round pick and wide receiver DJ Moore!

With the order of the NFL Draft officially upended, let’s see what the order of the first and second rounds of the draft look like.

The Panthers have the choice between the four best potential quarterbacks: Bryce Young (Alabama), CJ Stroud (Ohio State), Will Levis (Kentucky) and Anthony Richardson (Florida). Meanwhile, the Bears are getting the recruiting capital they need to continue building their team for competition.

With the second-placed Texans unlikely to give up on their pick, all eyes will be on the Arizona Cardinals, who don’t need a quarterback. Teams like the Indianapolis Colts and Las Vegas Raiders are ones to watch to ensure they get one of the best prospects.

The 2023 NFL Draft just got even more interesting. We now wait until April 27 to find out who the Panthers will choose to be their future quarterback and the face of the franchise.
