Upper Austrian league autumn champion Oedt signs ex-Rieder | Nachrichten.at

“As champions, we are going down,” Oedt President Franz Grad made it clear in an OÖN interview in mid-December. The winter transfers definitely suggest that his team will play a similar role in the spring as it did in the fall season. The people from Traun overwintered in first place, one point ahead of Dietach.

With ex-Rieder Valdir comes a top transfer from the Regionalliga West: The 25-year-old Brazilian scored 20 goals for Hohenems in the first half of the season, and now he is supposed to shoot coach Kurt Russ’s team to the title in Upper Austria’s highest league. The attacker has played in Hohenems since July 2022 and has a strong record of 35 goals in 59 competitive games. In 2021, Valdir was also on the ball for SV Ried for half a year.

Gasper Koritnik also comes to the Upper Austrian League winter king from the west: The 23-year-old Slovenian played for the Vorarlberg club Wolfurt in the autumn and scored eight goals. Oedt has also landed a kicker from the Central Regional League: Arnel Kadric comes from SPG Wels. With Chinonso Eziekwe – Trauner’s second best goalscorer with nine goals in the last six months – the club was also able to agree on an extension of the contract that expired in the winter.

League rival Mondsee was also able to secure a prominent transfer: the club from the Salzkammergut is strengthening with ex-professional Kevin Brandstätter from Bad Schallerbach. The Trattnachtalers responded to the departure by signing Bad Wimsbach’s Bayram Gas.
