Urgent | A new directive from the Ministry of Health to solve the problems of giving injections inside pharmacies

The Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, directed, in cooperation with the General Syndicate of Pharmacists, to set up organized mechanisms to solve problems related to giving injections in pharmacies, and to review laws and ministerial decisions in this regard, in a way that guarantees the preservation of pharmacists’ rights and facilitates patients in taking treatment, and this came during his meeting Al-Douri, yesterday evening, Monday, in the presence of a number of the Ministry’s leaders and heads of bodies, directors of health affairs directorates throughout the Republic, to follow up the progress of work in the various files of the Ministry, and to identify challenges and obstacles and work to overcome them, within the framework of the Ministry’s strategy to achieve the quality and efficiency of medical services that it provides. It is offered to citizens.

For his part, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, said that the minister affirmed his continuous follow-up to what is being circulated about injection problems in pharmacies, and what is being circulated regarding the rights of pharmacists and facilitating patients. Medical teams and training them on the scientific and correct methods of intramuscular and intravenous injection, pointing out that the meeting reviewed all developments in the work on priority files in the various sectors of the ministry.

Create a new administration

He added that the minister directed work to create a department affiliated to the Public Health Projects and Initiatives Sector, concerned with following up the work mechanisms and cooperation between the various parties concerned with implementing the national strategies that are being worked on, such as the strategy for food and nutrition, antimicrobial resistance, and one health, indicating that the meeting dealt with Reviewing a detailed report from the Monitoring and Follow-up Sector, which included the results of traffic on 212 stores, 85% of the main and subsidiary stores of the Ministry of Health and Population in all governorates of the Republic, and that the traffic included follow-up of warehouse equipment, the status of insurance against thefts, insurance against fires, and follow-up of cold chains to preserve Vital preparations, and a review of the structural and apparent storage condition, pointing out that the minister emphasized insurance procedures for warehouses to avoid losses.
