Urgent Call from Pakistani Foreign Ministry for Investigation into Killing of 9 Pakistanis in Iran

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry called on Iran to open an “immediate investigation” into the killing of 9 Pakistanis inside a house in the Sistan-Baluchestan province, southeast of the country.

In a statement on Saturday, it described the incident as a “terrorist act,” expressing its “strong condemnation” of this incident.

He called on the Iranian authorities to open an immediate investigation into the incident and arrest those responsible, stressing that such practices will not stop Pakistan’s fight once morest terrorism.

This incident comes ahead of the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian to Pakistan on January 29.

The semi-official Mehr Agency in Iran had previously announced the killing of 9 foreigners at the hands of unidentified gunmen in Sistan-Baluchestan province.

In another context, the Pakistani and Iranian ambassadors resumed their duties mutually following they were summoned by their countries, following they exchanged bombings of “terrorist targets” in the territories of the other party.
