Urgent Criminal Trial in Case No. 170/2023: Military Felonies in New Cairo

The Military Prosecutor General confirmed that the Military Prosecution has concluded the ongoing investigations in Case No. 170/2023 “Military Felonies” east of Cairo once morest the accused, and the case has been referred to the “urgent” criminal trial before the Military Criminal Court.

The military spokesman, Colonel Arkan Harb, said that the judicial procedures taken regarding the incident in one of the residential communities in New Cairo were completed.

Colonel Staff Harb Gharib Hafez, the military spokesman, said, earlier, that within the framework of the armed forces’ keenness to clarify the facts for public opinion regarding the incident of one of the residential communities in New Cairo, without prejudice to the progress of the ongoing investigations by the competent judicial authorities.

In a statement, today, Tuesday, the spokesman indicated that Report No. (22/23) was issued on July 1, 2023, a military misdemeanor, at the First Settlement Police Department, regarding the incident.

The Military Prosecution is conducting investigations, and it has been registered in Case No. (170/2023) “military felonies” east of Cairo.

The armed forces affirm their full respect for the principle of the rule of law.

It also extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, and wishes a speedy recovery for the injured.
