A worrying disappearance in the middle of the mountains. A major system has been mobilized since this Sunday afternoon to find the trace of a hiker, who left alone on snowshoes at Isola 2000, a winter sports resort in the Alpes-Maritimes, according to information from France Bleu Azur and BFM Nice Côte d’Azur.
15 rescuers and a helicopter mobilized
The latter had not given any sign of life for several hours and remained untraceable in the evening at 9 p.m. while the search by gendarmes, police officers and mobilized trackers was still underway. In total, 15 rescuers were deployed and a Civil Security helicopter came as reinforcements to expand the search.
Faced with the lack of contact, the family of the missing woman contacted the Mountain Unit of the National Police during the day of Sunday.
