What did the prosecution after a three month investigation? That Urrutia gave the order to selectively terminate and subjective 106 contracts for the provision of professional services and management support, which were valid for four months.
Reviewing the early termination records, the Prosecutor’s Office found that, supposedly, the contractors put an end to their work commitments for personal reasons. But, strangely, in a matter of four days, and by order of Urrutia, they had been hired again, but for a longer term, which ran until December 31, 2023.
In other words, the prosecutor’s investigators determined that these contracts were entered into again in apparent ignorance of regulations of public contracting.
Due to this situation, as we have confirmed in Caracol Radio, the prosecution is going to present before the Superior Court of Bogotá a request for hearing of charges against Urrutia“as possible responsible for several criminal behaviors in the processing and celebration of more than a hundred contracts”. No insurance measure will be requested.
