Christopher Gianotti is in the middle of a controversy after making comments about alleged equal employment opportunities in Peru. Following his statements on his YouTube podcast, the actor has been the subject of criticism on social networks, generating division among users. Despite the controversy, Gianotti has not offered a direct response and continues with his usual activity on social media, publishing content unrelated to the matter.

The tension raised by the statements has led various figures in the Peruvian media environment to express their position on the issue. Meanwhile, Úrsula Boza, Gianotti’s current wife and part of the cast of ‘Al Fondo Hay Sitio’ – who was also present in the podcast where the statements were made – shared a message on Instagram that has been interpreted as a reference to this recent scandal.

“Don’t get frustrated when someone isn’t able to understand you. Others see your reality according to their own internal world, their personal experiences and beliefs. Sometimes you simply have to let the other person feel and think about you what they want. That does not change who you really are,” Boza expressed through his official account, as a defense for Gianotti.

However, his silence after the initial reaction has not helped to clarify his position or soften the impact of his words. On the other hand, his partner has chosen to share reflections that could pave the way towards understanding, although without directly alluding to the conflict.

It is worth mentioning that after this controversy, it was learned that Gianotti received almost 83 thousand soles for “driving services” to TV Perú during 2023.

Let us remember that Christopher Gianotti stated that all Peruvians have the same opportunities for progress, regardless of their origin and economic resources. These statements have generated controversy and a debate about equal opportunities in Peru. “[…] That’s something that you have to generate and that’s what people don’t understand. […]”Gianotti said on his YouTube channel.

“I know people who have left very remote towns in this country and who today are businessmen who have gotten ahead, wonderful human beings where their environment was nothing, it was zero,” said the actor, provoking the fury of netizens in networks.

The reaction was immediate and well-known figures on the national scene such as Ebelin Ortiz and Mávila Huertas expressed their disagreement. Ortiz, through “It’s easy to say that there are opportunities when they even paid you for your cell phone,” said Ortiz.

Ebelin Ortiz attacks Cristopher Gianotti for controversial comment. Twitter.

For his part, Huertas, an ATV journalist, criticized Gianotti’s position of blaming poor people for their economic situation. “We live in a country in which many Peruvians do not have opportunities, precisely to build that future (…) These differences are what we have to resolve and we cannot simply hold someone who was born poor responsible for not having the ability to overcome that poverty. Public education exists for something, the State exists for something,” he said.

In addition to Ortiz and Huertas, journalist Jaime Chincha addressed the issue of anemia in the country as an example of the inequality that affects Peruvians from an early age. “Anemia already puts you in an unequal situation and children who have anemia already start from inequality. Anemia already predisposes them physically, intellectually, to a lesser condition and fewer tools,” Chincha explained.

Christopher Gianotti has not yet made additional statements regarding the criticism received. The debate on equal opportunities invites deeper reflection on the social and economic conditions that Peru is experiencing and how these affect the ability of its citizens to progress.
