Washington: US and allies to abandon International Space Station (ISS). For this, NASA has announced a project of 100 crore dollars (approximately 8313 crore rupees). In 2031, the station will fall into the Pacific Ocean. The process will start in 2026.

There are 260 spacecraft debris here. Scientists estimate that about 8 tons of propellant (fuel and oxidizer) would be needed to bring the station down from its lowest controllable altitude. Existing rocket engines cannot be used for this. If there is a fault, the plant will go out of control and become dangerous. In this case, a new rocket engine will have to be designed.

NASA is on the move to establish space stations again. They also have plans to establish a station on the moon.
