Bahrain: US Government Executive Director, Senior Executive Service (SESI) and Deputy Associate Administrator Fr. World Malayali Council officials met with Alexander J. Kurien.
Achan Malankara is a senior priest, speaker and motivational speaker of the Orthodox Church in the United States who visited St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Bahrain.
Fr. has visited more than 140 countries. Alexander was attacked by terrorists while on duty in Baghdad and miraculously escaped with serious injuries.
Achan, who has been working in Washington DC as an official spokesperson in countries including Afghanistan, after his schooling went to America for higher studies, but still cherishes Kerala and is still working to promote Malayalam culture and language.
Achan praised such activities of the World Malayali Council. St. Mary’s Orthodox Church Vicar Fr. Kurian Baby, WMC Global Vice President James John, Middle East Chairman Radhakrishnan Pratayat, Bahrain Chairman Devaraj Govindan, President Abraham Samuel, Secretary Amaldev, Treasurer Harish Nair and Vice Chairman Vinod Narayanan were present.
Fr. praised the activities of the World Malayali Council in Bahrain and in various countries of the world including the United States. Alexander also recalled that he had received an invitation to attend the 2022 Global Conference in Bahrain but could not due to official commitments.
