US oil production in June highest since April 2020

The US Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday that US crude oil production rose in June by 1.7 percent to the highest level since April 2020.

The government agency added in a monthly report that oil production rose to regarding 11.8 million barrels per day in June, from regarding 11.6 million barrels per day in May.

According to the Energy Information Administration, demand for oil and petroleum products in the United States rose in June to regarding 20.8 million barrels per day, the highest level since August 2019.

The report also said that demand for motor gasoline increased to 9.1 million barrels per day, the highest since August 2021.
