On Tuesday, the Marines flew aboard a CH-53E Tremendous Stallion helicopter from Creech Air Drive Base, Nevada, to Marine Corps Air Station Miramare in Southern California, the service mentioned in an announcement.
It’s not identified precisely when the helicopter took off and when it was imagined to arrive in California. Waves of heavy rain lashed the world in a single day, and snow was forecast for the mountains of San Diego County.
For the San Diego County Sheriff’s Division at 1 p.m. native time (11 a.m. Lithuanian time), the plane was reported to be delayed in arriving at Miramar, and was final seen in Pine Valley, a mountainous area close to the Cleveland Nationwide Forest, mentioned Lt. Matthew Carpenter.
“The third Marine Plane Wing is coordinating search and rescue efforts with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Division and the Civil Aviation Patrol,” the Marine Corps assertion added.
The destiny of the lacking helicopter is just not but clear.
There have been quite a lot of accidents involving US army plane lately. Eight pilots have been killed when a V-22 Osprey crashed off the coast of Japan final November.
That very same month, a helicopter crash within the Mediterranean Sea killed 5 American servicemen, and in August 2023, one other Osprey crash in Australia claimed the lives of three Marines.
Final April, two helicopters getting back from a coaching mission in a distant space of Alaska collided with one another. Three troopers have been killed and one other was injured within the accident.
