Investing.com – US stocks were mixed at the end of trading on Tuesday, as gains in the , , and . On the other hand, losses were recorded in the , and , sectors, which led the indices lower.
At the end of trading in New York, it recorded a decline of 0.25%, while it rose by about 0.17% and rose by about 0.37%.
Among today’s leading stocks was Walt Disney Company (NYSE:), whose value rose 1.64%, or 1.77 points, to reach 109.45 at the close. On the other hand, Home Depot Company (NYSE:) shares continued to rise by 1.07%, or 3.96 points, and closed at 375.56, while Travelers Cos Company (NYSE:) shares increased by 0.82%, or 1.81 points, to 221.89 at the end of the session.
As for the weakest performance at the end of today’s trading, Amgen (NASDAQ:) shares closed down 2.75%, or 7.88 points, and traded at 278.49 at the close. UnitedHealth Group Inc. (NYSE:) shares declined by 2.30%, or 12.07 points, to a price of 513.25, while Chevron Corp. (NYSE:) shares closed down by 1.44%, or 2.23 points, to 152.22.
On the other hand, the best performance in the Standard & Poor’s 500 index was recorded by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd (NYSE:), which rose by 19.87% at 19.09, and Constellation Energy Corp (NASDAQ:) also continued to rise at 16.92. % and closed at 155.76, and Carnival Corp (NYSE:) stock rose about 7.65% and ended its trading at 15.91.
Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention International Flavors & Fragrances Inc (NYSE:), which fell by 3.86% and closed its session at 74.42, SBA Communications Corp (NASDAQ:), which lost 3.77% at 199.95, and Henry Chain (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 3.38% and closed at 77.85 in today’s session on the stock exchange.
On the other hand, the best performance in the Nasdaq index was recorded by Janux Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:), which rose by 229.47% at a price of 49.75. Sizzle Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:) also continued its rise at 125.23% and closed at 22.50 levels. Likewise, Viking Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:) stock rose by 121.02% and ended its trading at 85.05.
Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention Minerva Neurosciences Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell by 58.82% and closed its session at 2.80, InfoBird Limited (NASDAQ:), which lost 53.62% at 1.28, and NRX Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 31.24% and closed at 0.29 today’s session on the stock exchange.
The number of stocks that gained more exceeded the number of stocks that closed lower in trading on the New York Stock Exchange, with 1680 compared to 1184, while 77 remained unchanged. As for the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 2071 of the stocks strengthened their position and 1352 declined, while 124 of the stocks maintained their value.

Viking Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:) stock rose to its highest record level ever, continuing to rise by 121.02%, or 46.57 points, at a price of 85.05.

The EUR/USD pair maintained stability at 0.02% and traded at 1.08 levels, while the USD/JPY pair continued to decline by 0.13% and reached 150.49 levels.
