US stocks fall after interest rate hike fears

Wall Street’s main indexes fell at the start of trading on Friday after stronger-than-expected jobs data boosted hopes for another big interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve later this month.
The Dow Jones index fell 36.12 points, or 0.12 percent, at the opening to 3,1348.43 points, according to “Archyde.com”.
The Standard & Poor’s index fell 14.36 points, or 0.37 percent, to 3888.26 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 117.73 points, or 1.01 percent, to 11,503.61 at the start of trading.
