The US stock indices closed the trading session on Thursday, May 27, 2022, at the end of the week’s trading, with the US stocks continuing their gains after they recorded during yesterday’s session.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 1.8%, or 576 points, at the level of 33,212 points, to record a weekly increase of 6.2%, in the first weekly rise since last March, ending a series of losses that lasted eight weeks.

The broader “Standard & Poor’s 500” index also rose by 2.5%, or the equivalent of 100 points, to record 4,158 points, achieving weekly gains of about 6.6%.

The Nasdaq index rose 3.3%, or 390 points, at 12,141 points.

With regard to European markets, during the session on Friday, May 27, 2022, the European “Stoxx 600” index rose by 1.4%, or the equivalent of 6 points, at the level of 443 points, and the French “CAC” index rose by 1.6%, or the equivalent of 105 points, to record the level of 6515 a point.

The German “DAX” index rose by 1.6 percent by about 231 points at 14,462 points, and the British “FTSE 100” index rose by 0.3 percent by about 20 points, recording the level of 7585 points.

In Japan, the “Nikkei” index rose by 0.7%, recording the level of 26,781 points, and the broader “TOPIX” index rose by about 0.5% at the level of 1887 points.
