Users annoyed by the end of the year party at the Tomás Uribe Hospital, in Tuluá

Relative of a patient who is in the Tomás Uribe Hospital in Tuluá, Valle del Cauca, denounced deficiencies in care because, apparently, the medical staff was in a year-end integration.

As it was known, the celebration took place this Thursday, December 22. Videos published on social networks show the annoyance of a citizen for the party that allegedly interfered with the provision of the health service.

“The sick patients and this Tomás Uribe Hospital with a severe scandal, what a horrible thing,” says the woman who accompanied a patient in one of the recordings.

In another video, the citizen added that some people are in critical condition, and are even waiting for surgical interventions. However, this event would have delayed patient care.

“It turns out that there are patients who are very badly waiting for surgery, meanwhile the entire entity is partying and the patients wait all day and wait for them to be seen. I don’t understand what kind of hospital this is, ”she assured.

In addition, she warned that, according to her, this situation could worsen the state of health of the patients: “It is complicated that due to their negligence (health personnel) they have to go through more complicated situations. If they pay attention to it on time, they will not have complications nor will they have a risk later on”.

So far there is no official pronouncement from the directors of the Hospital on this case. On social networks, the video caused controversy, because for some health personnel also have the right to these spaces, while others comment that it is “irresponsible.”

“It is incredible that the recreation of the institution’s medical staff prevails over the fundamental right of patients’ health,” wrote a user on Twitter.

In contrast, another person commented that “surely the complainant did not verify if the staff who were sharing were free, and those who were on duty remained at their jobs.”
