A Reddit user discovered a problem with the iPhone 13 and shared it on the platform. The new model would have a deficiency with respect to previous cell phones that worsens the usability experience.
According to what the anonymous person wrote on the platform, the new model has a significant drawback in calls: it does not allow the front microphone to be configured to isolate itself from the surrounding noise and to clearly hear the voice of the speaker.
“How can Apple remove such a basic feature from a $ 2,000 phone in 2021?” Wrote the user, furious at the device’s defect. Along the same lines, he continued to express his anger at the company’s decision and commented on the difficulties that the interlocutor of a call had to hear him about this situation.
Audio quality
In addition, he remarked that it is not a secondary issue of a cell phone despite its multiple functions, and revealed that at first he thought it was his iPhone the only one with a factory error. After taking it to an official store for repair, he discovered that there was no problem with his device and that, in reality, the model does not have the option enabled to improve the audio quality.
In the case of iPhone 12 and other previous models, to activate it you had to go to the accessibility settings and choose “Noise Cancellation”. Looking for this tool on the new device, he found that it was no longer part of the menu.
The response that the user received when he contacted customer service was that they did not recognize if it was indeed a hardware or software problem and that they were working on solving it.
It is expected that, in the coming weeks, Apple can resolve this demand from its customers.
Frequent mistake
For now, the issue continues to appear more than two months after the release of iOS 15.2 update.
This appears to continue for a while, as there is no fix in the beta version of update 15.3 either.
According to what the user @appletesterrus expressed on Twitter, some video calling applications such as FaceTime have already added a noise cancellation function to correct this issue so that the voice can be heard clearly.
However, in case you want to make a line call, there is no way to avoid noise pollution as in other models of the brand.

The iPhone 13, along with the new product line of Apple, was announced in mid-September and went on sale in the United States during the last days of the same month.
