As Israel prepares to expand military operations once morest the Gaza Corridor, the U.S. Pentagon has decided to dispatch the “USS Eisenhower” aircraft carrier strike group to the eastern Mediterranean for reinforcements.
The USS Eisenhower set off from Norfolk, Virginia, USA on the 14th. The strike group included an aircraft carrier, a missile cruiser, and three missile destroyers.
Earlier, the world’s largest aircraft carrier “Ford” had arrived in the Eastern Mediterranean, equivalent to the US military deploying two aircraft carrier strike groups in the waters surrounding Israel. However, the Biden administration emphasized that the United States does not intend to join Israel’s attacks. Its main intention is to deter Iran, Syria, and Lebanese Hezbollah from joining the conflict.
