SALT LAKE CITY – Week 3 of the NFL season is here, and 22 Utah Football alumni are on rosters across the league with 16 former Utes slated to suit up this weekend.
Action begins with Thursday Night Football as Mitch Wishnowsky and the San Francisco 49ers host the New York Giants. Kickoff will be at 6:15 p.m. MT with the game airing on Prime Video.
Seven games in Sunday’s early window have at least one Utah connection, highlighted by five in the Indianapolis-Baltimore game. Dalton Kincaid and Cody Barton will each look to build off of solid Week 2 performances as Buffalo and Washington meet in an 11 a.m. MT contest.
Leki Fotu (Arizona) and Jaylon Johnson (Chicago) each are anticipated to be in action during Sunday’s late window, then Britain Covey and the Eagles head to Tampa Bay for Monday Night Football. Covey played in last week’s game for Philadelphia after being elevated late from the practice squad.

Along with the player connections to Utah, former Ute Alex Whittingham is underway in his sixth season with the Kansas City Chiefs as defensive quality control coach. Brian Johnson is also back with the Philadelphia Eagles for his third season on staff and first as offensive coordinator.
