V Rising celebrates 3 million copies sold, and teases better castles

Since its release in early access in May 2022, the promising V Rising seduced more than three million players ! That’s a pretty huge number for an independent publisher, and Stunlock Studios took the opportunity to thank his fans on Twitter.

But the young shoot does not intend to rest on its laurels, and has already announced several novelties for 2023. The main one will be a rework of the castles, which suffer from a terrible problem: the single floor. Stunlock promised to fix this problem, explaining that ” the sight of a dark figure on a cliff, immense and familiar with the sky with its towers, excites the imagination of a vampire on many possibilities. And anyone can’t help but imagine a mansion, a maze of rooms set upon another maze of rooms, opulently endless« .

Indeed, this poetic description has something to sharpen our canines! During 2023, Stunlock will introduce multi-storey castlesoffering greater possibilities to create a fortress worthy of Manfrend von Carstein!

Moreover, other changes were mentioned, which you can find in the list below:

  • New enemies
  • New lands
  • Graphical improvements
  • New bosses
  • New biome
  • New markeplace
  • Added a Gems system for battles
  • Improved inventory
  • Interface improvements

These changes will, a priori, be deployed via one huge free patchplanned for sometime in 2023. The only negative point: the servers will have to be completely reset, which will cause loss of progress from everyone. The vagaries of early access!

With all that, V Rising seems to continue on its upward slope, to the delight of players.
