Val Kilmer back on ‘Willow’ despite suffering from throat cancer

After his unexpected return to Top Gun: Maverick, Val Kilmer is about to replay another of his cult roles. The comedian, who retired from the sets a few years ago after his throat cancer, will be back in Madmartigan in the series derived from the film Willow soon to be broadcast on Disney+.

“Val is part of the adventure and as soon as the project has been validated, our first gesture in Warwick [Davis, l’acteur de Willow] and it was up to me to contact Val”, told the Hollywood Reporter Jonathan Kasdan, executive producer of the series. “We wanted his character to be part of the story. We wanted him to be part of the show.”
