Riot Games has outlined how it will develop and update the Valorant Champions Tour Challengers league for 2024. As part of the blog post, we were told that the league will continue as a multi-tier system, with the best teams being promoted as high as the main VCT and relegated to the lower Premier Division if results fall short. We’re also told that from 2024 the VCT Partner Team will have an affiliated team within the Challengers division, with two-way players and loans coming into effect, easily allowing talented individuals to move between the main and academy/partner rosters. The schedule for the 2024 season has also been outlined. Starting in late January, the season will consist of the first stage and its own playoffs, followed by promotion/relegation events, before moving on to the second stage and its playoffs. After another promotion/relegation event, the Ascension Tournament will be held to see which Challengers team will advance to the VCT in the 2025 season. As for the Challengers 2025 season, we’re also told that it will begin immediately after the Ascension in October 2024. Will you be moving to Challengers next year?
