Valverde accuses Salah of underestimating Real Madrid

The statements of the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid ignited early on May 28, following Uruguayan footballer Valverde accused Real Madrid’s midfielder, the Egyptian “Reds” star Mohamed Salah, of disrespecting the royal team.

Salah had revealed his desire to face Real Madrid in the final, to avenge the loss of the 2018 final, and despite the Egyptian star’s clarification of his statements that were misinterpreted, Valverde insisted that it is a challenge to them.

And whether the Egyptian star’s statements motivate him before the continental final, Valverde told the Spanish newspaper, “Marca”, on Monday: “Yes, it is clear that they are words that anyone can understand in the way he wants.”

He added, “I am a competitor to Salah, and it is like underestimating the value of the Real Madrid logo and its players.”

And he added, “All we have to do is give our best and try to show why we reached the final. We hope to give the fans and Real Madrid another trophy.”
