Van der Bellen insult: the Office for the Protection of the Constitution deals with Kickl

The public prosecutor’s office in Ried expects a report from the Upper Austrian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution on the statements made by the FPÖ party leader “soon”. Herbert Kickl on political Ash Wednesday.

According to the prosecutor’s spokesman alois ebner officials were present at the event in the Jahnturnhalle, and they also heard Kickl refer to Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen as a “mummy” and “senile”. This might be an insult, Ebner continued.

As soon as the report from the Office for the Protection of the Constitution is available, it will be checked. Should criminal prosecution be considered, the public prosecutor’s office will apply to the Federal President for the necessary authorization.
