NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Despite just 12 shots on net from Juuse Saros, the Vancouver Canucks won 2-1 once morest the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Friday.

They take a 2-1 lead into the first round of the series, which continues in Nashville on Sunday.

Miller opened the scoring at 13:23 of the first period, on the power play, when he hit the goal with a powerful wrist shot from the top of the circles.

Boeser doubled the Canucks’ lead, also on the massive attack, when he redirected a pass from Miller and sent the puck between the pads to Saros.

Evangelista closed the gap with less than four minutes left in the third period with a wrist shot from the left circle. He accepted Jason Zucker’s pass before hitting DeSmith on the glove side.

Predators defenseman Spencer Stastney left the game in the second period with an upper body injury.
