“The discovery of this body was made by the firefighters after neighbors of the young woman worried about not seeing her anymore called the police”, explained Patrice Camberou, public prosecutor in Draguignan, confirming information from Nice- Morning.

If the presence of drugs near the victim could lead to privilege the trail of suicide, the examination of the body requested by the magistrate on duty on New Year’s Eve revealed “lethal traces suggesting that she could have been killed voluntarily,” added prosecutor Camberou.
In question in particular “traces of strangulation which we do not think at this time that they are compatible with a suicide”, specified the public prosecutor. The date of death remains to be determined. An autopsy must be carried out on Wednesday to confirm these elements.
The investigation was entrusted to the judicial police of Toulon and a judicial investigation must be opened this Wednesday.
