Karlovy vary, Czech Republic – The Karlovy vary International Film festival (KVIFF) is set to proceed from July 4th to 12th, marking a significant moment as it takes place for the first time without its long-time president, Jiří Bartoška, who passed away last month at the age of 78. “There are things we are not able to answer today. We can evaluate them after the festival, some perhaps in a year or two.But I believe that despite everything that happened, the festival will be great,” Mucha stated.Organizers have decided not to fill the position of Festival President, a testament to Bartoška’s unique and irreplaceable role. Instead, thay will focus on honoring his memory in other ways.
