Vedant Madhavan broke the national junior swimming record

Mumbai: Vedant Madhavan broke the national junior record in 1500m freestyle swimming. Actor-director Madhavan’s son Vedant achieved the record in the 48th National Junior Aquatic Championship held at the Biju Patnaik Swimming Pool at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

Finishing the 1500m freestyle in 16:01:73, Vedant topped the legendary record of 16:06:43 set by his compatriot Advaid Page in 2017. Amog Anand Venkatesh of Karnataka finished second in 16:21:98 while Subhojeet Gupta of Bengal bagged the bronze in 16:34:06.
