The United States government and the Organization of American States (OAS) condemned the attacks on Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó, following a group of people rebuked him this Saturday during a visit to the state of Cojedes, in western Venezuela. .

In a message on his Twitter account, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinkensaid that his country is “deeply concerned” by the fact that Guaidó “has been attacked for the second time” in two weeks in Venezuela.

“We condemn this climbing of acts of violence, harassment and intimidation once morest interim president Juan Guaidó and once morest all those who defend democracy,” said Blinken.

For his part, the Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro, wrote on the same social network that the organization he heads condemned the attack on Guaidó. “Their physical integrity must be respected.
