Venezuela’s national oil company PDVSA has allocated loading windows this month to two India-bound vessels under spot deals with Italy’s ENI and America’s Chevron, following a temporary relief of American sanctions once morest the country, according to a company document.

Indian refiners including Reliance Industries, Indian Oil Corp and HPCL-Mittal Energy (HMEL) have been looking for cargoes of Venezuelan crude to buy since Washington eased sanctions in October. Some refiners have entered into purchasing agreements with trading houses with access to Venezuelan oil, while others are preparing to obtain supplies from PDVSA partners.
