Venta air washer: Air cleaner – the treacherous Corona years for Venta

When Wahlich succeeded company patriarch Hitzler as CEO in 2020, the goals were clear: expansion into Asia and the conversion of Venta GmbH into a system provider. “The plan was to sell people sensor units, air purifiers and washers, and the right control app from a single source,” he explains. The Samsung-hardened manager should help with his experience in the field of consumer electronics. Venta sees itself as a premium supplier that does not compete with cheap manufacturers from China. Since production is to remain in Weingarten, the aim was to make the offer even more valuable.

But nothing came of it at first. Instead, Corona came and with it an unprecedented boost for companies that earn their money with clean and good air. “When I came, there was of course some chaos at first,” reports Wahlich. In normal times, Venta’s customers are primarily end consumers. But with the pandemic, companies suddenly approached Wahlich and his employees. “These were medical practices and law firms, basically everyone who works with rooms up to 100 square meters,” he says. Schools have also purchased more products.
