companies of risk capital have submitted bids for about €1.8 billion (US$2 billion) for a stake in the audiovisual rights business of the BundesligaGermany’s top soccer competition, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
Officials of the German Soccer Leaguel (DFL, for its acronym in German) communicated to the clubs in recent days that had received four offers for a 12.5% stake in the new unit, which ranged from €1,750 million and the €1,850 million.
The offers assumed that the company would receive income from national and international broadcasting rights of Germany’s top professional soccer teams for 20 years, according to sources.

Advent International, Blackstone Inc., CVC Capital Partners and EQT AB have been competing for the deal, Bloomberg News has reported. The DFL also received a fifth proposal for KKR & Co. which was considered too low, according to Bloomberg News.
