(CercleFinance.com) – Veolia Environnement announces that its Sequoia 2022 employee shareholding operation has reached a subscription rate of 42%, the highest in the history of the group of utilities with more than 75,000 employees who have chosen to subscribe.
At the end of this operation, which aims to involve as many of its employees as possible in the group’s development and performance, Veolia employees now represent 6.5% of the capital and thus become its largest shareholder.
The amount invested, around 243 million euros including leverage, resulted in the issue of 14,002,651 new shares, ie 2% of the share capital. As of December 14, 2022, this issue brings the total number of Veolia shares in circulation to 714,574,367 shares.
