Verona defeated its guest, Cremonese, 2-0, in the 17th round of the Italian Football League.
Sharjah 24 – Asaad Khalil:

Verona achieved its first victory in the Italian Football League since last September, after defeating its guest Cremonese 2-0 in a match between two teams struggling to stay among the elite clubs.

Thus, Verona stopped a series of 10 matches in which it did not taste the taste of victory, while its opponent is still without any victory since the beginning of the season, noting that it rose from the second division this season for the first time since 1996.

Serbian Darko Lazovic scored Verona’s goals in the 9th and 26th minutes.

Verona rose from last place to seventeenth, while Cremonese fell to the bottom of the standings.

Atlanta:

Atalanta overturned its deficit with a goal against its host, Bologna, to victory at the end of the stage, to rise to sixth place, on goal difference, at the expense of Roma, who tied with Milan 2-2.

Atalanta raised its tally to 31 points, and is now 3 points away from Inter, who are in fourth place and are currently the last qualifiers for the Champions League.

Bologna took the lead early by Riccardo Orcellini after 6 minutes had passed, and Atalanta waited for the second half to respond with two goals through the Belgian Ton Copminers (48) and the Danish Rasmus Hoyland (58).
