The Dutch Red Bull world champion, after the “leg”… with the right in 2024 in Bahrain, made it 2X2 in the World Championship, crossing the checkered flag first in the Saudi Arabian grand prix.
In fact, Red Bull made it 1-2 in today’s race as well, as Sergio Perez finished behind his Dutch teammate, while Charles Leclerc climbed the podium for the first time this year with Ferrari.
The three-time title holder’s success at the Middle Eastern country took his Formula 1 win streak to nine. However, the driver who ‘stole the show’ in the second race of the year was 18-year-old Olli Berman, who just yesterday (8/03) he was called to replace Carlos Sainz in the Ferrari cockpit (the Spaniard underwent appendicitis surgery).
The young Briton, who starred in the Formula 2 championship, although he started from 11th position, this did not prevent him from finishing 7th, leaving behind Lando Norris (McLaren) and Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes). Piastri, Alonso, Russell, Berman, Norris, Hamilton and Hulkenberg followed behind the top three.
The next grand prix is scheduled to take place over the three days of March 22-24 in Australia.
