Spielberg – The Mexican uprising in Spielberg lasted all three turns on Saturday. Then pole position man Max Verstappen overtook his Mexican team-mate Sergio Perez and then drove to a commanding victory in the sprint race. In 24 laps he gained a lead of 21.048 seconds. Third was Carlos Sainz (+23.088) in the Ferrari. The increasingly drying track caused a late tire gamble and an exciting fight for the eight places in the points.
