Vessel traffic banned near El Palito refinery

Through a statement from the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA)reported the prohibition of vessel traffic in the vicinity of the El Palito refinery, located in the state of Carabobo.

“Traffic of fishing and recreational vessels is restricted in the vicinity of the El Palito refinery within a radius of three nautical miles,” the INEA text states.

This measure is in effect from September 23 until October 8 at 6:00 am, with the possibility of extending the ban.

The Puerto Cabello Captaincy has indicated that it will maintain strict monitoring and control of the area, so they called on people to be alert and keep the AIS system on.

The El Palito refinery is one of the largest oil complexes in Venezuela and is located in the municipality of Puerto Cabello, near the town of El Palito, on the coast of Carabobo state.
