Good, better, VfB!
With the 3-1 win in Mainz, VfB Stuttgart is sensationally in fourth place after four games. Nine points mean the best start to the season in 19 years. In BILD, six VfB experts talk about Stuttgart’s start to the season.
► Guido Buchwald (62/world champion in 1990, twice German champion with VfB): “We noticed at the end of last season that there was a new team spirit and will to achieve our goals together. VfB will certainly have nothing to do with relegation. Getting somewhere between nine and 13 would be the first step in the right direction. It’s about small, stable steps that you can build on.”
“Guirassy is the player who makes the difference and the decisive goals. It’s nice that VfB finally has a player again who can guarantee you goals. I hope he stays at VfB for a long time.”
