Conclusion: rather decent results (Canadian champion on the road in 2008, winner of the points classifications of the Tour of the Basque Country 2010 and that of Catalonia 2013) and participations in the 3 big tours (121st overall in the Tour de France 2014 , 135th and 143rd in Italy 2012 and 2013, abandoned in Spain in 2009).

This year, when he had inherited the bib from an injured friend, he won the 50 kilometers of the Trail 100 Andorra by UTMB in 5h42min25 (he has been living for a few years in Girona where he owns three Horeca establishments). Before that, we know him a 22nd place on the MCC in 2021 and a 127th last year on the CCC. And this year, earlier in the season, he represented Canada in the men’s event at the Long Trail Worlds (85 km) in Innsbruck-Stubai, Austria (53rd out of 122 runners).

On a TDS marked by difficult weather conditions which forced the organizers to modify the course, Meier took the lead at km 89 from Sweden’s Wästlund.

Among the girls, a French hat-trick with the victory of Martine Nakache, already a winner this year in the Marathon des Sables.
