Just over a year ago, the company OpenAI brought the fascination for artificial intelligence (AI) to the masses with the AI bot ChatGPT. Now the provider has achieved a similar feat with the AI video tool Sora: For days, people have been fascinated by how entire videos can be created or existing clips can be edited using simple text commands. Sora is currently only available to a very limited group of users because the OpenAI team first wants to evaluate the risk of misuse – specifically: deepfakes.
