Video .. “cat-sized” rats scare residents of a British tourist town

Rats described as “the size of cats” invaded a tourist town in Britain, spreading terror among residents and beach goers.

And the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) published footage of huge rats roaming around the Castle Beach area of the coastal town of Tenby in Wales, where the waves collide with the rocks at the famous beach.

Residents said the problem has worsened in recent months.

The footage disgusted social media users, especially since the area is a tourist destination for many Britons.

The Pembrokeshire council in charge of the town urged residents not to feed the animals or drop food on the ground, and said staff were checking slopes where rats were believed to be nesting.

Roger Miles, a boat owner, said rats had become a problem that had gotten worse over the past few months, adding that it was “really concerning”.

“Early evening, dusk and early morning, rats are really everywhere. There is a particular area where you see parts of the cliff that have eroded away,” Miles said.
