Video from Britain.. Fire devours trees and smoke hugs the sky

While Britain recorded temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius for the first time, which exacerbated the burning crisis, videos spread on social media that showed the flames rising to eat trees.

A new clip circulated on Twitter during the past hours showed how black smoke rose hugging the heart of the sky and changed its color, while fires rose as they ate trees in the British city of Ipswich, northeast of the capital, London.

While many fire services announced the occurrence of major accidents after the escalation of the fires.

A large fire in Winnington, east London, also destroyed homes.

The authorities also canceled some rail services due to the railways overheating or twisting, and the trains’ overhead cables failing.

The highest temperature was 38.7 degrees Celsius

This comes as fires continue to spread throughout Europe, where the heat wave has exacerbated drought conditions.

A large swathe of eastern England, from Surrey to South Yorkshire, saw temperatures ranging from 39 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius.

At least 34 weather stations beat the previous UK temperature record.

Scotland also set a new record, according to Met Office figures, with 34.8 degrees Celsius in Charterhall, on the Scottish border, beating the previous record of 32.9 degrees Celsius set in 2003.

It is noteworthy that the highest temperature ever recorded in Britain was in 2019, when it reached 38.7 degrees Celsius.
